A completely original subject and treatment, a discussion piece. In the Swiss Army Lobster, "le Homard de l'Armée Suisse", Walker meets Warhol and Dali. Painted for no better reason than it appealed to me. Available for sale, but it can only be delivered after my exhibition in July.
About Chris Walker
I am a painter/illustrator born in Oxford, UK, brought up in the Cotswolds, working in Bavaria and France and now living and painting in Provence, France. I paint in oils and acrylics. Generally brightly coloured in a medium size to small format. Subjects vary from abstract, through whimsical and enigmatic to classic landscape. Styles also vary considerably depending on season, surreal, impressionist, cubist. People, animals, trees and urban scenes feature in many of my works. Each painting is entirely original influenced by my environment and by masters and classics. I undertake commissions as this gives me the opportunity to see from another standpoint. My aim is to produce pleasing and thought provoking paintings, that can be lived...
